Metrics over mission

Pros

Strong Brand, exposure to great content and opportunity to support CIOs and IT Executives in the challenge of the digital transformation of their firms

Cons

In spite of the fact that we are told that we are providing strategic support to our clients, the End User organisation is run by the spreadsheet very much in call center way. Engagement metrics in most cases do not correspond to the value received by the clients and do not guarantee retention but, nevertheless, not meeting them equates to being named and shamed in public through the stack ranking system and eventually being put on a plan. A senior manager recently said that our priority should be ‘mission over metrics’, but he was purely paying lip service to the idea, everything that comes from the top points in the opposite direction. Flexibility is completely absent at all levels and the company is constantly making cuts despite double digit growth for many years in a row.

Pros

Great business name to prospect and a built in network for making sales. Opportunity for making money is there if you are lucky enough to get a good territory and a good manager.

Cons

Not very professional environment; length of employment and internal network is of more importance for promotion than product; overall, employees are nickle-and-dimed and not compensated at a "fair market price" - employees are treated as expendable and aren't really valued.

Pros

-Good learning experience for recent graduates -Great resume builder -Really smart colleagues

Cons

Pompous upper management has led to vacuum of talent. No structure or criteria for raises and promotions. Opportunities for growth is heavily favored towards "old-guard" employees. New talent rarely gets recognized. Below market rate pay despite long work hours from junior level - mid level associates. Crazy turnover- almost everyone is looking for a new job. Do not drink the kool-aid!
