Pros

Great team culture, continuous training, amazing resources and analysts, excellent products that truly help our clients! True collaboration with all internal resources.

Cons

Area Managers are a joke and provide zero value. They are really just administrative assistants that care about useless corporate metrics and treat the members of their team like children. Expect calls and emails and texts numerous times everyday just to check up on you. Worst management I have experienced throughout my career.

Pros

Gartner is amazing when it is good. Really suportive management, great colleagues, flex time and benefits. Work hard play hard.

Cons

When its bad it falls apart. Salary not as high as comparable jobs, salary increases for tenured employees almost non-existant. Managers who bail when things start to decline leaving their team high and dry.

Pros

Really good pay for a call center. Good healthcare and benefits. Talk with C-suite and director level executives daily. Decent PTO. Pretty good cafeteria.

Cons

Not interested in development, just checking the box! Your success depends on the territory you are placed in 100%. Watch for phrases like "challenging territory," or "we believe you can turn it around" means that territory has never and will never perform well. Company does not look at historical data when it comes to promotions and bonuses, just the overall metric (i.e. if the goal is 95% and your territory has always performed at 70%, and you increase it to 85%, your 15% gain means nothing when it comes to promotions or bonuses because it is still below the metric.) When making promotions, leadership qualities mean very little, just how good you were at checking the box, which you have no control over. Team meetings are focused on how to check box, not strategy around trends in different accounts/industries. Metrics are related to things you have NO control over: -Calls/day--Can't make people show up for meetings or answer calls (they have you use Google Voice or cell phone so a different number shows up to trick clients into picking up) -Usage--Can't make people use -Retention--Not in the sales meetings with field sales executives, not writing contracts, and most clients have absolutely no say in retaining their access or not; that means even if a client is receiving great value from their access and want to retain their license, someone else has the final say regardless. Management discusses employee performance with other employees, something I have NEVER seen at any other organization. Relocation assistance covers SMALL percentage of actual moving costs. Once you are here, the job market is small so you are stuck unless you are willing to move again. Position should be a work-from-home opportunity, at least on a part time basis, but management is so concerned with micromanaging that they will not let us. No trust in employees and it shows in their metrics and how employees are treated. Only know a handful of people who are actually happy/fulfilled in their work and they are either born and raised in Ft. Myers so they think its as good as it gets, or they have come directly from retail and its an upgrade from that.
