Pros

In the office there is a fantastic gym and free fruit.You are thrust into fantastic events which are extremely well put together. You have the opportunity to travel the world but due to long hours, you won't see much.

Cons

The majority of people I met weren't that friendly. Whilst working at a conference you are expected to work extremely long hours, 14 hours approx. You are not paid overtime hours which is not stipulated during the interview process. The interview process is long and tiresome.

Cons

Quotas are not aligned to opportunity within for each AEs opportunity within their book of business/territory Many uncontrollables that will determine your success or failures Value prop is changing for supplier side of the business. It will be a few years until the product resonates with buyers. Your manager means everything to your success. Gartner hires from within and will promote based on a year of success and likeness. Not many leaders in the management position but more order takers. Not many sales tools to support your success

Cons

No reward for work as the Manager/team leads will take that No inclination towards newer technologies. Same old processes Special treatment to people who suck up to the hierarchy. Deserving people rarely get the praise.
