Pros

- Good salary and benefits (such as private health insurance from day 1) - Good work life balance for Client Services.

Cons

- Lack of mentally demanding role. Although the core focus market for many of the client service roles are for high performing individuals, much of the work isn’t very mentally stimulating (look at your client list, ensure they are engaged, repeat). - Poor communication from leadership - no visibility on their vision, no inspiration from the top on professional development. Many people only stay a few years and then move due to lack of development. - Business stuck in 1980s - i.e Lack of flexibility in working. There is no standard work from home policy at Gartner or working on other offices (for Client Services). Very old school, this is your desk and you sit at it, policy. I.e no chance to change your scenery or choose where you want to sit! - Although there is a free shuttle to the station, the office is far from any amenities.

Pros

Generous amount of PTO offered

Cons

No job security. You will lose your job if you are not achieving the ridiculous goals they put in place. If you are placed in a difficult territory, you will most likely be out of a job a few months later when you are at the bottom of their stack rank. As a result, people are in constant fear of losing their jobs and morale is extremely low. Management lacks competence and the majority is not qualified to perform the job. No flexibility to work from home.
