Pros

You absolutely get out what you put in at Glassdoor. This is a company where I have been able to develop as an individual, build incredibly trusted relationships with my co-workers, and support my team in their own development. Leadership does their best to be as transparent with employees as possible, even when it's clearly the more difficult path. While there are always things that can be improved, joining Glassdoor has been the best decision I've made in my career.

Cons

We have regular growing pains like there are at any other company. Historically we have been slow to innovate in certain parts of the business. As of late, it feels like we are heading in the right direction and have really exciting things ahead.

Pros

There is no company in tech that cares more about its employees than Glassdoor. The people that work here are truly kind and generous folks that work hard and are good at what they do. I feel respected, valued and grateful to be a part of the team. I like how the company doesn't just look to be competitive with benefits compared to other tech giants but they look to lead the industry in offering new and better benefits for everyone.

Cons

I come from the startup world so there's a bit more process than I'm used to but it's not egregious by any means.

Thanks for the feedback. I couldn't agree more that Glassdoor strives to look after our employees by providing competitive pay and benefits, interesting and purposeful work, and a great team environment made up of fun, smart, conscientious and diverse people. We try to balance process and nimbleness as a team and admittedly we are still getting better at it. As a past start-up founder myself, I love how quickly small and empowered teams can move and we want to encourage that at Glassdoor, when it makes sense. But our product is complex and we have hundreds of millions of users counting on our product which means we have to put in some process and systems as well. We also try to make sure we give our team members flexibility in when (unlimited PTO and parental leave), where (work from anywhere) and how they work, but we will definitely continue to evaluate our PTO and work week policies. - Andy Chen, Chief Product Officer
