Pros

I really enjoyed my time at Glassdoor. I've had the pleasure to work it some really good and smart people. I admired the Tech Leadership team as well as the Executive team. They made sure radical transparency was at the forefront of everything we envisioned. I enjoyed the perfect balance between work and life.

Cons

The tech stack is improving but there are still legacy apps to deal with. It felt the compensation wasn't very competitive

Pros

Culture is good and the people are fun, honest, and transparent. Benefits are great!

Cons

Leadership makes extremely questionable decisions with tight deadlines. For example, the data team had ~5 critical technology stack migrations all taking place at the same time amongst normal development work for business use-cases. Layoffs. Probably one of the most unorganized companies (planning-wise) I've had the chance to work for, but that is likely team-dependent.

I am glad to hear that you appreciate our positive company culture and benefits, but I also understand the recent layoffs and tight deadlines have been challenging for our employees. It’s important to me that we prioritize the well-being of our people, and we will work to address the issues you’ve raised to ensure all teams at Glassdoor have the resources needed to meet their goals without feeling overwhelmed. We value your input, so thanks again for taking the time to share this feedback. -Christian Sutherland-Wong, CEO

Pros

I've had an incredible time at Glassdoor - It's one of the most supportive work environments, and we truly feel like we're doing impactful work. There's a lot of interesting transformation that the company is doing as we continue to integrate with Fishbowl, and I'm excited for the company's future

Cons

As the HR tech world sees a slight downturn with layoffs and reduced hiring, the next year won't be easy for Glassdoor
