Pros

I love being on the CS team at Glassdoor. We've been through a lot of changes in the last 12-14 months, but it finally feels like we're getting into a groove. Our fearless leader has worked hard to make CS a great place to work throughout the company. He sets clear goals and executes. End of story. The partnership with Sales in particular has drastically improved in the past few months. It truly feels like we're on one team now and we feel more love and respect from our counterparts there.

Cons

Reporting for our KPIs is very behind. Leadership knows this and is working on it, but it still feels like the bar is set without giving us the tools & reporting to get there. Hard to feel like you're set up for success this way.

Dear Glassdoor CSM Thanks for taking the time to write a review and share your feedback. This literally made my day. As you know, we've set an aspiration to be a place where people truly love their work, so it's fantastic to hear that your experience has been so positive. I'm really proud of the way we're transforming our organization - there's still a lot we can improve, but it's good to know that the changes we've made are having an impact for you. Reporting is definitely an area where we still need to get better. I agree that you need access to timely data in order to maximize your effectiveness and we're working on it. There are high priority projects on the roadmap for the next two quarters and we're actively hiring more technology resources to support our CS Systems going forward. With these improvements and other upgrades we will be making to our processes and technology (like calendar automation), I'm optimistic that all CSMs will have access to tools which further improve your efficiency in the not too distant future. - Chris, VP Customer Success

Pros

The acquisition ($$$) I am generally proud of the work I put out, despite serious lack of leadership within the marketing org as of late Flexible hours (good for families)

Cons

Transparency and company/team vision have gone completely out the window. This has been an issue long before pre-acquisition...we need a GLINT survey stat. Marketing leadership says that we "are more aligned than we have ever been" yet our QBR made it clear that it's not just my team that is getting insufficient direction and support from the top. Everyone is scrambling. Maybe leadership is just waiting for their check to leave. I'm coming up on a work anniversary and then I will be leaving. It's likely many others will do the same since no one knows what is going on.

Thank you for taking time to write a review and share your thoughts. Your feedback is something we take to heart. We know it’s important that you feel you can come to work and feel proud of your work output AND we know it’s important that you also get the kind of leadership that is creative, supportive, motivational and more. If you’re open to coming to share your feedback I’d love to hear from you. I’m not planning to cash out and leave anytime soon - that’s not the type of person or leadership team you have. We believe in the mission, vision and the strategic priorities we as a company and as a department set out to achieve earlier this year. Your leadership team is fully present and engaged - we’re here to build a great team and support the business. I’ll hope you’ll take the opportunity to share more feedback and be a part of the team that I think will continue to achieve some great things for those we aim to serve: job seekers and employers.

We really appreciate your honest review and feedback. Please know that our HR team routinely reviews our structure around total compensation to ensure its competitive with the current market and we make adjustments accordingly for all employees. We also consistently review employee feedback on benefits and perks to ensure we're offering what our employees need and want per office. Aside from some of the great perks you've already mentioned, we've also recently rolled out our new defined career path levels in hopes of providing more transparency to employees about how to advance their professional careers here at Glassdoor, which can often lead to higher pay potential too. I hope this helps!
