Pros

Good staff discount. Good Benefits if your a manager. No others

Cons

Absolute hell. I worked there for 3 and a half years. I started as a sales advisor around Christmas time and it was horrendous would only get out about an hour after shift ended. I stuck with it thinking things would get better. They never did. Always understaffed. I eventually got the role of deptartment manager and my time there got worse. Area office always on our case about cutting hours, making more money. Delivery routines are like a military operation. Faster faster faster, nothing ever good enough. Often cutting breaks short by 10-15 minutes. AVOID working here!!

Pros

Values the company says it stands for are inspirational. Benefits given to full time employees are amazing. Upper management seems to truly inhibit values.

Cons

Although the values in theory are great. I have seen very few of them inhibited by the management at the store level. At the store level there are many incompetent people given positions because of their tenure. I witnessed a lot of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Depending on the store manager the supposed company values are almost the opposite. I unfortunately was the victim of workplace bullying/harassment. I went to HR only to make the situation worse. I was left in the store to fin for myself until my health started to decline from the stress Incurred. After begging they finally transferred me to another location. I was excited to be able to start over however the store manager was less than enthusiastic to have me. He had no choice in the transfer and did not want me at his store because of it. He slandered my name to other management members who were in my same position. He would never give me direct feedback. He would walk my department when I was off and would tell the other members of management everything I did wrong and make them correct my "perceived" mistakes. When I would arrive to work he would have my peers tell me why they fixed my work that wasn't up to "standards". He never let me be present for feed back. It was horrible. I have retained council and will be filing a lawsuit for retribution. H&M continued to discriminate against me harass/bully me in retaliation for standing up for what was right.

Pros

Work life balance Pay Medical Benefits PTO Wellness Growth:company and positions Great Values

Cons

District Management Staff plays favorites not because of work ethic, capability, or ability to lead A lot of promotions are based on who is liked. Hiring practices are not consistent or fair. A lot of new staff is unqualified for the position they are hired for and somehow pass through the process. Values are not the way of life for District Staff especially District 820. If you want to continue your high school life in a professional work environment with gossip and no action from the District Staff H&M is your place. There growth is hindering the companies value.
