Pros

- Detailed training (3 months) - Staff discount 25% off - Company values

Cons

- Salary - Area team managers will force you to do whatever they want - Operations are still very paperwork heavy (Example: still use fax machines) - Most store managers are lazy and make their department managers do everything.

Pros

The company has good intentions and strong values (in theory) The pay is a little higher than some other brands, however so is the stress!

Cons

Absolutely no organisation whatsoever. Manager's relying on "grow" (a dvd) for full training. A distinct separation between staff and management. No clear expectations, lazy management means shop floor is chaotic, staff don't know whether they're coming or going, new starters aren't supported as they should be which means there is only a select few members of the team who are offering full potential. You are expected to walk in and know exactly what to do after watching/participating in the online grow training. Few people will advise and support from then on. Shockingly understaffed. Constant over stocking means shop floor is continuously unshoppable!, fixtures literally buckling under the weight of stock means standards of an evening is incredibly stressful and time consuming, often staying an extra hour than expected to get the store looking remotely OK.

Pros

Good pay, great benefits, health insurance, paid birthday off, generous vacation days for full timers.

Cons

As with many companies, it comes down to management. Specifically, corporate management. They come down hard on store management who then come down harder on you. Also, it's too difficult to get promoted based on work ethic. Their promotion system is flawed. You essentially have to train yourself for the position you want but due to your current daily duties and the constant flow of customers, it's practically impossible to find time do this. This causes a very strong feeling of discouragement with sales advisors and you feel like you're never moving forward. If you're lucky, a manager/visual will pick you as their "favorite" and pull you aside to shadow them.
