Pros

Some projects follow proper process , ethics and has a cool environment. Fair appraisals. Good compensation.

Cons

Once the my current project got completed. They started deploying on different locations. Even the internal people take interview like they are hiring from outside and slightly consider your previous project experience. My profile is of full stack developer .So during internal hiring they were asking any JS framework and they won't give you time for preparation . There reputation is also not much good among there clients. Later I joined a project which is another headache ,in virtual environment the architect or leads always busy and won't respond . In daily scrum call the lady main director pitches in and scolds employees even also she agrees that she is scolding. She spends lot of in maintaining the DevOps dashboard rather than understanding the situation and has a very bossy attitude . Due to overtime,I heard people were literally crying in the call because of having health issues .Even if a person is sick the director ask not to take leave. There project infrastructure, communication softwares frequently breaks down by authentication issues on one's machine because they have been setup by developer themselves. The entire team works more than 11 hours and when you complain about this to higher authority they will say " you have given the estimate so you have to complete".if you say that something is not working for you then they will say"it is working for others, why not for you". The lady director adds everyone in whatsapp group and at anytime they ping you to resume work. Due to all of these reasons I have left job without year hike and this is the story with others as well .

Pros

I worked for around 3 years at HCS, and found the following pros with the organisation: 1. Nice, (some) really talented and helpful colleagues 2. Very good tech stack ( at least in my project) That's all folks!

Cons

There were lot of cons: 1. Unsatisfactory salary hikes (and mostly illogical too) 2. Zero work life balance. Haphazard release cycles and resultant chaos week in week out 3. Core technical work never trickled down. Although, project had a great tech stack but only the chosen few got a chance to work on the core stuff, rest of the team had to be content with the maintenance related stuff only. 4. Lots of internal politics, management re-shuffling and disturbances even among the sister organisations of the same parent company 5. Worst HR practices / operations I have ever seen 6. Zero gratification and retention efforts even for the hard working employees There are many more but I wont nitpick on them, I think these points are enough to give you an insight on how things are internally no matter what is promised from the outside.
