Pros

Flexible, agile working Great place to learn and develop Embracing Equality and Diversity Opportunities to be promoted or move into over civil services depts

Cons

Bullying culture existed with managers. Do as I say not as I do! The bullying and harassment process needs to include an impartial mediator outside of the line management chain .

Pros

The service is working hard both here and overseas to negate the threat from illegal immigration and terrorism

Cons

The service needs to look at how they use their resources and rolling out new technology quicker

Pros

Good pension, but that's only because it's civil service. Literally any other CS dept would have the same.

Cons

Racism, sexism and ageism are rife. Work culture is toxic, and people are constantly pushed harder and harder until they burn out. Bullying happens everywhere and there is nothing to make up for that.
