Business Outlook
Pros
Flexible working hours are a key benefit of working in the Civil Service along with a very generous pension scheme. The pay is very competitive with the private sector and the opportunities for promotion and mobility around other departments I are excellent.
Cons
Management at senior level is poor; miscalculation of forecasts, misalignment of multiple changes is repeated year in year out, this effects staff morale and Public trust which often leads to high pressure on staff from managers, MPs, solicitors, the public etc.
