Pros

There are many great things about this company 1. Remote: having a remote structure allows the company to have access to the best talent without worrying if they live close to an office. It also allows a great flexibility to the employees. On a more personal note, it allows people to have a great career opportunity (challenge and growth) while living in remote areas where employment in more limited. 2. Culture: I can understand that the culture at Hopper is not for everyone, but personally, the fact that they only hire and keep the best people and that every decision is made in the interest of the company allows us to work with high quality people, offer the best service and create amazing products. 3. Unlimited PTO: at first, I was skeptical, I told the recruiter it was a "trap", but it's not. Since Hopper hires only people with high standards, it trusts the employee's judgement on taking time off. For example, in Finance, during month/quarter/year end, you don't take vacation, but outside of that unless there is a very good reason, your manager won't refuse your vacation request. Hopper is a travel company, it only makes sense they allow their employees to travel. 4. Salary: Hopper is ready to pay their employees top of the market and won't loose a candidate based on salary. The stock options are also a really good incentive.

Cons

As mentioned, the culture might not be for everyone, and since Hopper wants to keep only their high performer employees, it can put a lot of pressure on insecure people. Resulting in working long hours to make sure you deliver the best work, on time and reducing the risk of layoff to the minimum. This is why it's worth it to have monthly discussion with your manager in order to obtain positive/negative feedback on your performance and readjust if needed. Again, this might be an issue only for insecure people, not everyone.

Pros

Extremely welcoming, professional, clean, and exciting workplace. You are a member of a true team, which shares it's success as a collective. Hopper is a young company that thrives when it faces tough challenges, and displays an incredible amount of perseverance and determination when it encounters them. We are treated as professionals, and I feel encouraged and incentivised to do my best every time I walk through the door.

Cons

This is very demanding work. There is a healthy amount of pressure shared throughout the team to keep the standard of quality high, while there is also a focus on efficiency of work flow. There is also a steep learning curve, which can be challenging.

Pros

Such a great company to work for! The TX department is really supportive, friendly, and makes you feel like the work you do really means something. They often have after work outings, but they're organized by the employees themselves, so if you want something specific (budget friendly, not involving beers...etc just suggest something yourself and people will come!) Pros: -Great co-workers -Company really cares about their staff - Fun office space -Managers are friendly and understanding -Great benefits -SNACKS!

Cons

Cons: The volume can be a bit hectic at times and it can be a bit overwhelming. But the managers are really great when you bring this issue to them. I know they're hiring like crazy, so hopefully it will get better soon. Also, the upper management for the department are quite distant. They sit in their own office, which is understandable, but they don't interact with the agents as much.
