      A company growing leaps and bounds - but at what cost?

      Pros

      Plenty of opportunities to explore new technologies. Quality of work, compared to other companies, is better. Many good processes are followed.

      Cons

      Work life-Personal life balance is affected. People slog too much. Not at all recommended for girls, because management expects them also to stay late. Some technical leaders are annoyingly dumb, and makes me wonder who the hell recruited them at the first place! With so many dissatisfied employees, Huawei is facing severe attrition, even from its Tier1 employees. Attitude of management - people who stay at office more (though not working, but just browsing through mails) are recognized for "excellent" performance.

      Pros

      According to the current trend in Turkey. Huawei will be the number 1 vender in this region. and it will be a good opportunites to part of this team.

      Cons

      They haven't started to think Globally. They are tring to act like global player, but local emploees are not happy with the current situation. If you are Chinese, you are luck because, they have more right then other for regional offices. You can not forcast your future career plan. If they change this mentality, they will be more strong. Each office, there is two companies, one local , one chinesse

      Pros

      Localization has been the hottest topic at our overseas operations over the past two years. Training and developing our local staff is our major work for this year. I myself have witnessed the number of our local staff increase from one to three digits. After talking with or getting to know them, I have learned a lot of stories about them, which you may feel touching.

      Cons

      "Today is the 20th of July 2005. It is exactly 1 year since I began to work at Huawei Technologies. I just want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to join Huawei. My working experience here has been wonderful and incredible. I have learnt so much and I will continue to work at my best in the future. I enjoy working here very much. Thank you, Huawei."
