Pros

Name recognition and many career options

Cons

Quota set too high so you made very little commission, even though you're growing the business. The Comp plans were good for a couple of years, 1999, 2000, then after that they were overly complicated and paid out too little.

Pros

IBM is a very, very honest company. They are more focused on execution than they are focused on great ideas or visions. IBM is hardly an Apple, Google or SAP.

Cons

Most people at IBM are overworked and scared of losing their jobs.
