Pros

IBM is a large corporation & its name is common knowledge among almost everyone. They dont their own banks but they practically every other type of business for the world. This gives the employee the opportunity to venture into any territory thus helping people shape their careers effectively. The environment is culturally very strong & facilitates an open door policy at all levels.

Cons

Being a large corp it has set a lot of boundaries & policies for day to day operation which at times do more harm then help. The salaries & the salary structures are not as per industry benchmarks & need revision. It is slowly becoming an HR strong organization rather than a delivery strong organization.
