Work at home is great. Benefits are good I thought I would have more Pros, but there aren't any left.

Cons

Very long hours - easily work 11-12 hour days and still far behind in work Most work in my area moved to Brazil No time for education Constant threat of layoffs...every quarter. I'm just hoping I get it next and get it out of the way. I've probably skirted 8-10 of them already. Used to perform real analytical work, now we just comply to business controls, perform the minimal work necessary and that's it. No innovation or ...no time for it

No respect over C-plan pensions. IBM youngsters, I fear you're next to be attacked.

Currently, the brand image is trading high.

Cons

Pensions have been attacked in a most vicious and calculating way in the UK. If the senior exec managemtn team is allowed to get away with this attack on 50+ year olds then they can get away with a subsequent attack on the youngsters that are contributing to a different pension scheme. Brendon Riley has shunned the very people that re-built this company in the 90's by telling them that the final salary pension scheme that formed a part of their compensation package is to close and the penalties for early retirement from april 2010 onwards will be punitive. In my lifetime I would have to work an extra 6 years to make up for this cold calculated attack on my trust.

None...Used to be a great company to work for but not any longer.

Cons

Pay raises of 1% or 2% every few years drives newer employees away. Unfortunately the respect for the individual that was IBM's creed has vanished. Used to be the Flagship company to work for however now just another large multinational that most new hires stay on for 5 years and then move on.
