Could be great, but management failings are holding the security teams back.

Pros

They have the worlds best portfolio of security solutions and their plan of integration is winning deals. Market leading products and continuous acquisitions and R&D make IBM the number one place to be to sell security.

Cons

Half the systems and processes should have been left in the 90's where they belong. There is a lot of nepotism in the management teams, where long term IBM staff with little or no outside experience reign.

Good training until 3 years ago( they are cutting everything now) Looks good in your CV

Bad location Horrible noisy open space office ( difficult to concentrate) Many incompetent first line managers Promotion to small brained people Managers are only executors of orders Bulling behaviour from the management if you think differently and you have common sense Promotion is linked to your manager visibility, if you do whatever they ask you to do with no questions. If you don't have a relative in the management forget any promotion Bonuses are distributed based on managers discretion Nepotism Very easy to get a burn out due by how you are treated Unfair on ocmissions and on managing employees No transparency Mobbing and bullying if you don't keep your head down
