Pros

I am in IBMs product division - India software Labs Bangalore, so this review does not cover whole of IBM. Good pay for freshers. For lateral hires, your ctc depends on your last pay and how much you can negotiate. In ISL there are Good learning opportunities. Many good projects. No tracking of office hours. Good amount of leaves. Experience varies from team to team. IBM can be a good experience for you but totally depends on manager..

Cons

Poor management - Old guys sitting on top. Some senior people having 20+ yrs experience can be painful to work with. Work life balance is usually not good. People are working long hours in most projects. Manager knows your salary unlike other companies. People are afraid they can be fired. Your direct manager has too much power. They use PIP to fire you if your performance or relationship is not good - to avoid paying severance. Some teams are called to office 3-4 days of the week. Not good in Bangalore traffic. Cafetarias are relatively poor. No initiatives for climate change and its awareness among employees. Very slow promotions.
