Pros

You have very good job security and flexible work hours at IBM. My current manager permits me to work from home, which is terrific. Not all managers at IBM are like that, though. I really like that there's a credit union on site. The fitness and recreation center is nice too.

Cons

Red tape and bureaucracy are burdensome. The "climate" varies dramatically between departments and projects. It's really hard to stomach the fact that Sam "earned" a $40M bonus, and many of us have not had a raise in several years. There are internal hiring rules that prevent an employee in one division (SWG) to obtain a new position in another division (STG).
