Pros

I have freedom and flexibility. Not stuck in a cube all day. I get to work on some of the largest computer systems in the world in many different locations.

Cons

The company is a slow motion train wreck. Consumed by chasing earning numbers. They desperately need a tech visionary to bring the 'next big thing' to market. Pay and benefits are constant being degraded, and respect for the individual is gone.

Pros

- Still (sort-of) looks good on a résumé. - Honestly can't think of anything else to put in this category, but there's a 20-word minimum.

Cons

- Long hours, odd hours, constantly on-call. Almost NO work-life balance. - Very little investment into individual growth. - Weak benefits and pay in comparison to industry. - Near constant layoffs (just google it). - Employee contributions are not valued.
