Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review about your time working for Indeed in our New York office. Feedback is very important for us, especially in a growing business, as it helps us make sure employees have a way to share their concerns and suggestions with us, and we take everything we receive externally and internally very seriously. Indeed places significant emphasis on creating a culture of inclusion and belonging for all employees, and ensuring we hire people from diverse backgrounds remains a priority for us. We take any form of harassment at Indeed very seriously and have internal training, policies and procedures in place to support this. Please reach out to us on inside@indeed.com to discuss this in more detail.

Pros

Unlimited PTO Cool office spaces Snacks Happy hours

Cons

At Indeed you start your career off with so much hope. After months and even years of hard work, you eventually start to notice that you are not getting compensated fairly, you are no longer learning and just continue to get frustrated with your lack of growth and mobility. You will soon realize that in order to advance in your career and to truly be happy again you need to say goodbye to indeed.

Thank you for writing a review. When rewarding our employees, we’d like to assure you Indeed researches compensation thoroughly in each market where we compete for talent, and have a dedicated benefits team who continuously adjust levels based on data and feedback. We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to have ongoing conversations with their managers about their career growth. There are endless ways for you to gain different experiences and take on new challenges within roles, within teams, and within the company. When an internal move makes sense for you and for the company, we do all that we can to make the process as simple as possible!

Pros

Beautiful offices, good food, excellent health insurance.

Cons

Salaries below market, they ask that people have a master degree and years of experience for a salary in the low 60's ( and that is including bonus) , I wish Indeed spent less on happy hours and a plethora of activities catered to provide fun to the twenty-something and start paying fairly. Leadership is provided by people that might have vast knowledge about the company but whose only job has been at Indeed and with poor management skills, tolerance for laziness is ok because preferences towards friends are not unusual, this promotes a culture of self entitlement that makes work harder than it should be. Open PTO sounds like a great perk at the beginning but then one realizes that some people overuse it whereas some people use little time off, and for the latest, there is no pay for unused time when leaving.

Thanks so much for leaving us a review about your time working for us at Indeed. It’s really important for us that we provide great workspaces and perks for our employees in our offices, and we try to cater to all needs where possible. We are aware that we need to focus even more on manager training and continually strive for a diverse balance of talent within our organization, and appreciate this feedback. In regards to rewarding our employees, we research compensation in each market where we compete for talent, and have a dedicated benefits team that are continually adjusting levels based on data and feedback. When it comes to the feedback around not being paid for leave not taken from your standard holiday allowance, this is incorrect. If you leave the business with holiday leave remaining, you will be compensated for this. The Open PTO is a benefit on top of this so would not fall under the same conditions. Once again thanks for taking the time to suggest improvements - we are listening.
