Pros

Indeed has a really nice office and you receive free good food regularly. There is also a stocked kitchen with all the junk food you can imagine.

Cons

Your first day at Indeed they give you a shirt that says "I Help People Get Jobs", but myself and many others feel it should really say "I'll Soon Be Looking For A New Job", We feel this way for a few reasons and here they are: 1. Management: The management at Indeed does not know what they are doing and constantly harass us on a daily basis. Instead of giving us advice or assisting us with sales they find in necessary to send us documented emails that are titled "You Better Start Looking For A New (Cuss Word That Starts With a F and ends with I N G) Job". I'm not the only one who got an email like this. They are inexperienced and can't handle the stress and demand of managing a team of people. 2. Lead Generation: There is none. Indeed makes no effort in supplying their salesman with leads. The sales floor is over saturated and more then half of their team do not hit their quotas. If you have anyone to support or are looking to make money, look elsewhere. 3. Deception: Over the past month I overheard twice a manager ask someone to go on this site and write a good review because questions about their negative reviews were coming up in interviews....Sounds If you do decide to take an interview with this company you should ask the following: How much turnover do you have? How long does the average salesman stay with your company? How do you supply leads for your salesman? How is your healthcare plans? How is the management style? I hope this helps. Thank you

Pros

I've worked here for a long time and it's been the best job I've ever had in virtually every aspect. Many things have changed over the years, some for better and some for worse. Many here in R&D have been employees for a decade or longer, which is really impressive retention for a tech company. - Fantastic work/life balance - Generous PTO policy - Great culture and values - Good compensation (but not universally true for every role)

Cons

I don't have much hope left for the company with this leadership team. The recently returning CEO only cares about their personal success and making money at any cost. He's unqualified to lead a technology company and ignorantly believes that using AI is going to solve all of our problems. At this point almost everyone here is keeping their resume ready and planning an exit strategy. The morale and culture have been eroding for years now. Most are too afraid to speak out because there is extremely little trust left with company leaders. There's absolutely no way to know if you will be safe from the next layoff. - Incompetent CEO, as well as a weak senior leadership team - Frequent (quarterly) re-orgs and change in company priorities - Frequent (monthly) layoffs with no regard to performance or tenure - Broken organization and mismanagement - Perpetual instability due to all of the above

Pros

Indeed is a very employee-centric company, making it wonderful to be employed there. I worked at Indeed for 4 years until I was laid off in 2023 with 15% of the employee base globally. As a PMO professional, there are a huge number of opportunities to lead complex, global initiatives with strategic value. RSU grants, "You Days" and open PTO are all real pros of working here. Also a huge pro is Indeed's position on DEIB and "bringing your whole self to work" - they really walk that talk. I've never felt so included and able to be myself (queer female w/a disability) as at Indeed.

Cons

Unfortunately, Indeed has a lot trouble getting work "over the line." Planning lasts FOREVER and is not effective. Leadership says they prioritize velocity and think planning is largely unnecessary, but they don't understand iterative planning and waste time in the wrong types of planning with the wrong personnel. At least 1 C-level exec dislikes PMO but PMO roles up to her (and she's hired a PMO Director who has no PMO experience). Moreover, leadership gets in the way of competent people doing their jobs. Indeed hires experienced professionals and then put them in a corner to collect dust. Co-workers and I were reprimanded for being overly "results focused" and trying to do our jobs in ways that weren't the "Indeed" way." It's sad to see - if you hire rock stars, let them lead and let them do what they do best.
