Pros

Everything. To start - they treat their employees incredibly well. This isn't just about compensation (which is top tier). This is making sure we have the tools and equipment to do our best work. For example, two large screen monitors come standard issue at every desk. During COVID, you were able to purchase a sit/stand desk for your home office + Herman Miller office chair for comfort. We just moved to the new Toronto Office today, and it is unbelievable! A beautiful space that has carefully thought out team collaboration and productivity. And Fun! When there is time for downtime: pool time, ping pong table, hoops, shuffleboard and a gorgeous rooftop patio with lake views.

Cons

Hurts my head to try to think of something negative... maybe not enough downtime to enjoy some of the fun activities on site - because it is a busy place with lots of work to do.

Pros

The Intuit acquisition has been wonderful for our department. We have much better insurance options, ESPP, $1 to $1.25 401k matching, and yearly bonuses.

Cons

This is an established company, so there are processes in place for everything. Some may not see this as a con, but if you are looking for hard and fast change, it is not here. Everything is methodical and carefully planned.

Pros

* Very good money on a seasonal, hourly basis. * The match from the 401k is about 1 year. * You learn SO much getting into toher types of returns. * For the right person, it can be a good job to come back to year after year.

Cons

* The communication is non-existent from Recruiting, Onboarding and other areas of HR. Just totally horrible in merely getting ready for the season. * Tax Assistants are expected ot become experts with the software, tax codes and anything else almost immediately. If it were as easy as Management makes it to be, ore customers wouldn't even need us. * I had to develop releationeships with true tax experts outside my Lead Pod and Management Team, which COrproate does NOT love. But I can't do my job right without them. * If you're not an Enrolled Agent, CPA or Lawyer they can't offboard you fast enough at the end of the season. * Depending on where you live, there may be MUCH better opportunities after 1 -2 seasons.
