Pros

Supportive peers, great experts, good pay, good benefits.

Cons

The recent layoffs were a real surprise - and not a welcome one, they seem to have changed their corporate philosophy about "Needs Improvement" employees being given an opportunity to improve. It's a bit disconcerting. I guess I understand it, but I hope that "Stronger Together" - one of our key values will continue to be practiced.

Pros

Total compensation, wellness programs, meal allowances

Cons

The company's site in Israel may not be as it appears. While it might seem appealing, money can't buy you a sense of belonging or a supportive work environment. There seems to be a lack of camaraderie in some teams, with competition overshadowing team spirit. Some managers appear to prioritize their own career advancement over the well-being of their employees. There are some perceptions that the site might not be managed by the formal site leader but rather by someone else… allegedly. Observers might say that the official site leader might be seen as too lenient, allowing others to take control of certain aspects. Global management may be unaware of the issues at this site, as some Israeli managers might embellish the situation. Despite efforts to present a positive image, the work environment can be unpleasant. Onboarding for newcomers is reportedly difficult, with minimal support or guidance from managers or corporate. Some employees have experienced poor management, including inappropriate comments, micromanagement, and lack of support. Managers may be more concerned with their image than the well-being of their team, leading to a toxic environment where some employees might feel undervalued and over-criticized. Some might even feel minimized by their managers. Overall, this site may not provide the collaborative, supportive, and friendly workplace it aims to project.

Pros

- Human beings who can sit in chairs - Some of the older staff are brilliant people who are excellent to work with. They have golden handcuffs and it's the only reason they stay.

Cons

- Horrific management - Complete amateur managers and pm's who would not be allowed their same title and role in a real technology company. FTX had better management than this. - Horrendous agile planning and development. Think your local government, where everyone communicates with snail mail and uses an abacus and then combine it the USPS and finally add a dash of Theranos. That would be better. - Backwards thinking on how to be productive in modern software development. When someone suggested we plan out a sprint for implementing TS in the monolithic architecture, it sounded like someone had opened the tomb of Imhotep in The Mummy. UNSPEAKABLE. This is probably where majority of engineers go who couldn't make it into a real tech company. That might be true even for the rest of the management because I've seen waste management companies with less trash. It's an old corporate company filled to the brim with inefficiencies and managers with weapons pointed at your back. You will not work on any modern technologies at all, prepare for vanilla react and monolithic architecture! No TS either so have fun tracking the insane prop drilling that would make an oil rig blush. Prepare also to encounter a daily amount of warrooms that will prevent any merging of code for hours on end. Who would have thought monolithic architecture was this fragile???? The AC's for tickets are written by people with 0 understanding of the project or technical details and they will expect you to waste 2-3 hours a week because they don't want to write 3 sentences when they first made the ticket. I cannot stress how terrible of a dev environment this makes for a team as you are literally expected to waste time because others can't do their job. Managers are extremely micromanaging as they will not tell you anything unless you ask about it (good or bad). So prepare to have a score sheet at the end of the year tallying up your "mistakes" because next culling, you're on your own! Technology is laughable at best. You could probably go to an oil and gas company and find more innovation using ..."TYPESCRIPT" or..."DOCUMENTATION". Do not be fooled by their promises of AI. It is about as cutting edge as using COBOL on paper. I cannot stress how lackluster this company is. Leave, run, fly, rebase, rm-rf, you will be underpaid (easily 20-40% less base and total comp than any other faang or faang adjacent company) overworked, constantly stressed and completely clueless! 10/10 NO THANKS!
