Pros

Some benefits like the bus from Vienna to Wiener Neudorf as well as the cantine, where you can a lunch for less than 2 euros

Cons

LKW Walter is violating the Austrian labour law with max 10 working hours a day. I was working for at least 50 hours a week and sometimes even more. LKW Walter ask you to visit the carriers. They have been booking the flights for evening commencing 6PM. This was meaning a day shift of over 12-14hours. Business trips the same – you got to visits at least 5 carriers a day. No one cares how to manage this considering you finish the day in the hotel. I guess 2 years ago the management was trying to convince the people to start working at 7 for the same labour (time shift, higher productivity, more calls, more shipments, more money).

Pros

Experience is not required, quite the opposite. the trainee program allows you to gain information about forwarding agencies and truck dispatch. Obviously there are some better departments which I would recommend as Scandinavia (dont recommend UK department)

Cons

I agree with other reviewers, the offices are overcrowded and extremely noisy. No wonder, there are too many people in one building. Irrespectively from LKW WALTER job offers and descriptions they offer only dispatch roles. After several years of truck disposal there is a small chance to become a sales guy but it doesn’t mean you get a higher salary. It a shame how LKW WALTER deal with experienced people (security management team members, head of the traffics – with and without ferries) thus I wouldn’t consider LKW WALTER job offers as a potentially interesting for your career. I was the last of 12 people who left the company (in 7 years no one was left!)
