Pros

You have a job, salary,benefits

Cons

Feedback not appreciated or encouraged. People that are loyal or working there for a long time or from a minority group get promoted. Others, not. Salaries are the lowest in this kind of job. No training. Tests. Large accounts get preferential treatment, no work/life balance, extremely short staffed, processes don’t change even when there are better ways to do it.

Pros

The clinic location I am at is has great people and patients. The benefits are very good.

Cons

Total lack of training! The trainer assigned to me spent the entire 2 week training time in another room or in her car Facetiming family and friends I could barely ask a question. My direct supervisor doesn't understand the concept of teachable moments, she's intensely negative.

Pros

Lots of paid leave and time off

Cons

Overly priced benefits, no 401k matching, employees placed in a caste system, promotions not based on work ethic or education, unsafe practices for patients, specimen integrity HIGHLY at risk. Under-educated employees hired, placed in positions with no training (company doesn't have a training program), and given unrealistic quotas to meet (by any means necessary) within the alloted 8 hr work period. I intentionally seek out physicians who do not send their patients' specimens to Labcorp.
