Pros

some great coworkers, interesting job

Cons

Training is all over the place, too much unnecessary online training that isn’t relevant to job and nowhere near enough across the board (all on same page or including detail) training that is.

Pros

Comprehensive Onboarding Process: Labcorp's structured onboarding program ensured a seamless onboarding experience into my role. Clear communication: Training materials and resources are well organized and easily accessible Hands on experience: Practical training exercises helped me apply theoretical knowledge to on-job processes efficiently. Positive Company Values: Labcorp's values align with my own, creating a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Cons

Trainings could be reorganized to prioritize role specific activities 1st followed by the overall process training. Training should be customized to emphasize more on the role specific tasks and designed to keep the trainees focused. Training feedback : Feedbacks should more constructive and be focused more on quality of the work.

Pros

Flex time for supervisors Employer contributes to 401k Wealth of opportunities if you are willing to relocate.

Cons

No incentive to strive for promotion as wages are way too tight between levels. (Supervisor earns just above direct report level) Some Ops Managers are way too controlling, one in particular doesn't like the new flex time policy because it limits his ability to call his direct reports at any hour of the day or night. Is there any training for Ops Managers regarding boundaries or morals ? When YOU panic over every little hiccup what chance do your direct reports have ? Wait until employees hear about the 3 new insurance "plans" for 2025. This is getting ridiculous, and from a Fortune 500 company ??? I currently pay $261.77 per pay period for family coverage with the lowest cost carrier and maximum premium reductions. To keep the same deductibles for 2025 the plan I need costs $361.33 per pay period ???!!!!! That is a 36% increase !!!!! We will have to downgrade and hope no one gets sick.

Pros

You can make a lot of overtime, the job is pretty easy

Cons

Can’t leave on time, patients are rude and leave crazy surveys, the attendance policy is rigged against hard workers, constant backlash, and not enough praise, training was interrupted to fill a role I was not prepared for

Pros

Overall great coworkers; state-of-the-art equipment; breakroom with free coffee machine, creamers, etc is very nice!; breakroom with food to purchase is awesome!;

Cons

Training has been horrible!; 1 or 2 coworkers have made my job more difficult than it has needed to be; Communication between shifts is horrible!; The building itself is quite dilapidated! In the lab itself, there are so many ceiling tiles on the verge of falling with the next rainstorm. We're already having to put absorbent pads on the floor to catch the leaks; In the summer months, there were times where it was so hot in the lab when the AC went out in the building, which happened one too many times! This not only made us employees suffer, but it was not good for the computers and more importantly the analyzers! Then IT stole our industrial fan and we never got a replacement. I felt it was inhumane to have to work under those conditions; The overall attitude of most employees in the lab is less than professional. Management wants this to be like a hospital lab environment, but I don't see that happening. This is too much of a production environment.
