Unprofessional Supervisor

Pros

I enjoyed driving my route and had a good relationship with my department supervisor. You could have a take home company vehicle and a gas card for a fee out your paycheck. Great benefits also.

Cons

Low pay with small annual raises with a night differential. Job duties and responsibilities increased but for the same pay. The added job duties brought me into contact with the accessioning department which caused me to dislike the job due to there supervisor screaming and staring when she was upset. I was a supervisor at my previous job and hope and pray that I never treated an employee that badly. Helps to have some supervision training and there are some great books and courses available. I quit soon after that embarrassing incident. This was a job I took after retiring from my career after 26 years .

Pros

Great canteen. Training was good.

Cons

Hardly any inclusion for newbies, nobody makes an effort to talk to you. The work is very boring and monotonous. The pay is not great. The managers are not very caring or understanding.

Pros

Well organised and structured as expected for a GMP facility. Sophisticated systems in place to track and deal with client projects.

Cons

Where to start, as a new hire I came in expecting some semblance of training and an interest in my development. You are made to sit around for months wondering your purpose with not much / no guidance. At the very least assign someone to train up the new hire. And when work is given on occasion it is expected that you should know everything and perform these duties correctly without the proper training. Any mistake made no matter how small will be penalised with no real explanation as to the mechanisms behind it, this perpetuates the problem as without the knowledge to get it correct next time around the problem will repeat itself. I also knew the Salary would be low and rightfully so as I am an intern, this was not a concern for me as I came here to learn but I feel like I'm sitting around wasting my time and the companies. Of course it will take time to trust a new hire with the equipment and various GMP procedures but it is at the very least efficient to have a plan in place to prepare and train up the new hire so that they don't sit around clueless. I'm pretty sure training will not cost much and will be useful when work starts to come in.

Pros

Large pantry, OT claim for transportation and food

Cons

If you cant speak in Mandarin, you should not consider working here. The environment is so bad especially during training where the trainer will just ignore you and speak in mandarin for hours but you are still expected to show up to listen and watch. Even after voice it out, no change.
