Pros

Free lab work if not paid for by insurance

Cons

Lack of communication They try very hard to fit everyone into the same box but their standards are based on their largest labs and don’t translate well to smaller labs Very little training and lack of resources

Pros

-the people are very nice -there is upward mobility within the company -a good career stepping stone -looks good on a resume -learned a lot -

Cons

-pay is not very competitive given its a multibillion-dollar company -burnout is quick -turnover rate is very very high (if you make it past a year to two years, your one of the more "senior employees" -lots of management kinks that need to be worked out -training in some of the areas is not adequate and at times you feel like you get fed to the wolves -their individual training plans for their employees are hardly ever followed - the job and work gets monotonous -Sometimes it seems they value pushing quantity work over quality work - -

Terrible

Pros

In trying to think of the pros, the only thing I could think of is that you get a paycheck. They benefits are okay. I thought the benefits would be much better for this size company, but no.

Cons

The biggest con is the culture of the company. Upper management can be very unprofessional at times. They talk about other people in management including those they report to and they do it right in front of front-line employees. I shocked to see this type of behavior. They don't provide adequate training and then if someone doesn't meet the production quota they terminate them without even trying to work with them first to provide retraining, etc. There is very high turnover here, terrible morale, and excruciating work conditions for menial pay. I left after 9 months.

DON'T DO IT!!

Pros

having weekends off and that's about it.

Cons

The system they use is old which makes your job hard. nobody young stay's for more than a year, because the people in the lab have been there for over 10yrs. these people don't want change. The training is terrible, you will be stuck accessioning for 3months because they "don't have people to train you on other stations". They are always fussing over who starting what instrument up, and the pay is bad ($20) in this economy is insane. the benefits are expensive and don't cover much. Also, they will ask you to help at other sites because they are short staff but the truth is people are quitting because they are tired. I could go on about this place but I will stop here. if you are fresh out of school do not apply to this place, they are cheap af.
