Pros
-Bonus opportunities for meeting team/individual goals -variety of locations to work if one doesn't work out - minimal management "hovering" (you are generally working on site without management present) -decent pay - generous paid time off (144 hours a year)
Cons
-Hard to take time off as they are perpetually short staffed -sub-par management; supervisors are stretched thin, often having to cover for employees out sick etc while still having to do their job. -Management/supervisors also have high turnover, probably due to being overworked. Unfortunately this leads to a pretty toxic work environment. Stressed leadership comes down on overworked staff, which leads to high turnover in team -BLATANT favoritism from leadership. I've been on both sides of this and have reaped benefits and then seen the benefits stripped when fallen out of favor -unsafe to take concerns to upper management. Secrets aren't kept, retaliation happens subtly, but impactfully -training isn't centralized and often new employees are told different things by different team members, including leadership -not much room for growth unless you want to give up any and all free time. Supervisors are on the "clock" even during vacation
