Pros

Awesome colleagues who are smart, hardworking, driven, and nice. Big corporate training that is good for new colleague grads to start from. Real world industrial problems to solve.

Cons

Lots of politics going on. Favoritism pervails. Learning curve slows down drastically after a few years. Very very very bad work life balance with not enough pay. Management does not value employees enough.

Pros

Compensation is good. Really smart and friendly co-workers. Good culture of safety. Good gender equality and maternal/paternal leave.

Cons

Work life balance is not great - long hours are the norm. Always a new crisis, some caused by bad upper management decisions. Constantly fighting for resources to do your job. Lots of repetitive tasks and making power points, not so much intellectual tasks worth hiring PhDs for. Information gets siloed - the company still has not adapted from its smaller company tribal knowledge know-and-ask-your-coworkers arrangement to its larger size.

Pros

Compressed schedule is great for work/life balance, coworkers are usually helpful and informative. Great experience for the tech sector.

Cons

You need to suck up to the right people here because favoritism is rampant. The supervisors will believe whoever their friends are and no one else if an issue arises. The managers are disconnected from what is happening on the floor so they are about as helpful as a football bat. The manufacturing instructions provided can be quite vague, which seems out of sync for a company that puts emphasis on the quality of their products. There are way too many stories about sexism in this company, but hopefully they are being addressed now that the CEO is gone.
