      Not a good place if you want your sales to thrive

      Pros

      large company, recognizeable logo, many good people at the IC level, good for mass-produced product sales

      Cons

      Highly political (in a destructive sense), cutthroat, "sales prevention" culture, lack of "vision" at the executive level. All that on top of it being a Chinese-owned company, which makes it directly answerable to CCP.

      The larger the organization, the more likely to enjoy someone you work with.

      Cons

      For an organization that prides itself on working parents and parental leave, I am astounded by the lack of respect for boundaries while on leave. The requests and expectations to check emails, respond to calls and meetings, as well as the lack of organization around an individual out on leave. I joined Lenovo with hopes of being able to enjoy my family and family time and I've learned that it is truly dependent on your direct team rather than the legal and company guidelines put in place by the HR Partners, which keep in mind is separate from the several HR teams. This negative experience has truly molded my entire opinion and respect for the company.

      Prepare to burn out

      Pros

      - Very diverse workspace - Friendly people - Flexible work schedule (when you don't have meetings) - Lots of learning opportunities - Cool technologies used

      Cons

      - Workspace and parking sucks! If you arrive after 9AM and you work in building 7, prepare for a 10 minute walk (more fun when raining or snowing) - Working with mostly remote people in India, China, and Ukraine - No work-life balance (mainly because of the remote people) which makes working around the clock - Operating as waterfall but calling it scrum
