-Competitive pay & benefits -Ability to work remotely -Modern office with free samples -Have more influence and responsibility than most entry-level jobs -The company mission promotes accessibility to low-cost groceries -Young, international environment -Kind, friendly coworkers -Ability to be a part of a rapidly growing business in its early stages

Cons

-Very high rate of turnover -Most promotions happen only if a more senior person quits -Young leadership that only knows the Lidl and/or European way -Lack of tech/analytics/automation leads to lots of tedious, manual work -Little to no focus on talent development & career path -Most of the time is spent putting out fires or maintaining poor processes instead of improving them -Hierarchical leadership structure -Most coworkers are hired right out of school or another industry and have limited experience -No work-life balance if you are a Manager or above

Pros

For an admin job - this is well paid. You can move to different depts within the company (but within a team there is not much progression). Flexible working times.

Cons

Very stiff and conservative working atmosphere - most people are overworked in the buying/buying admin dept, so people are often very short with you (especially the buying team). Worked unpaid overtime everyday. Everything is always 'urgent' and 'business critical', so most days are stressful. The commute is really long and about to get longer with the office relocation. Lack of employee benefits - the discount is very small and not much else of worth is offered.
