Cons

Behaves like a SME. Couple of C-suites that seems clueless about what they want.

Pros

-Very structured, constant communication through earpiece -Provide company uniforms -Clear , stated objectives to be completed everyday;

Cons

-They sell expired,rotten meat and moldy produce. They discount these items with 30 percent off stickers and the public may not check the dates and end up blindly buying because of the price. So many returns daily and expired food pulled from the shelves;Literally shopping cart full of expired products.Please report this company to your local health board and shut this place down for good. -As an associate , you are given way too much work to handle and you are talked down to without the utmost rudeness. They ask you to clean bathrooms, do trash, do carts, and ring on the register;you are part of a skeleton crew so dont expect any downtime and you MUST complete their menial tasks before you leave which is around 1 hour after your shift ends. -There is no culture here. Nobody is pleasant, everyone is miserable you will be treated as such. There is no HR. There is no feedback given to managers-they will not hear it and they will chastise you if you question management. -Their whole management team within the store are a bunch of high school graduates who are severely deficient in knowledge of how to run a supermarket, and how to treat customers and employees. The group you will be put with are literal drug addicts and highly obnoxious people who are unfriendly and crass who don't deserve their pay for the work they do

Pros

The salary is the only good thing about working for this company.

Cons

Working as a Graduate manager for Lidl I was told that I would be on a well rounded three part training course. The reality was the opposite the hours are dreadful starting at 4am in the morning and working 12 hour or 13 hours. Then tasks were physically exhausting and I ended up with back problems as a consequence. Everything is done under an unrealistic time pressure and if this time frame isn’t met the management are verbally abusive. Bullying was carried out daily. Managers would humiliate staff. The hours are exhausting and the way the shifts are you never get two consecutive days off. Don’t work here the graduate scheme is a scam!
