Pros

There are no pros NONE!!!

Cons

Been with them since the training and grand opening. And now the part time 20 hr per week employees have been reduced to ZERO hours for the past 4 weeks. Think twice before you decide to work for them. They do NOT care about you or the community as they they so proudly announced when they came to the USA

Pros

Got to train abroad which allowed me to travel. But they aren't sending people overseas anymore. Even that experience was horrendous. The traveling part was a life experience I will never forget or regret. I have learned to stand up more for myself and have learned a lot about what I am ok with and will not put up with.

Cons

Respect: Training with Lidl UK included having to deal sexism, sexual harassment and rude, outdated ways of Managing. My experience at HQ for Lidl US included a lot of lower experienced Managers in higher Management positions and a lot of overcompensating for that. Including being talked down to, belittled, getting in trouble for needing to use the bathroom during a training class, being screamed at by the head of training and then being told after that that we indeed are treated well.... Recognition: No such thing unless you mean being belittled. Responsibility: Supply Chain is a nightmare. HQ departments are being run by people who failed the DM training program overseas, mass hiring of sales associates have left stores with low level of talent who have no work ethic, no one is ever paid consistently, lidl opened stores in small town America- in buildings that literally are falling apart, yet.... on store level the managers are somehow responsible for all the store's problems. Trust: have I mentioned I'm not getting paid what I was told I would get paid when I got my position? When I asked for a contract I kept getting told I would receive one and then conveniently never did. They over-hired and made us think they are expanding aggressively, yet made such poor decisions they are having to halt openings and have nowhere to put all the people they hired. So they are finding ways to push people out the door.
