Lots of red tape. Security clearance normally required

Poor forecasting with the program

Work is dull and boring not what was portrayed in interview. Pay is 15k+ less than other companies. No career progression unless move to another program.

Takes time to get things done

Managers need to focus more on employees

Too political old boys club discrimination against women who are asserting or smarter than the managers. No pension I can go on and on .not a happy person working there .the special programs for young folks are a joke they think they are initialed to all opportunities . It a cult of they all stick to thier own group and do t let folks in. They become directors and they keep hiring only those folks from the group don’t give the common joe a chance to move up . They create jobs for them .

I couldn't find a company profile for "Sikorsky Aircraft", so I'm writing this review under Sikorsky's parent company, Lockheed Martin. Working at Sikorsky must surely be a treat if you happen to be an individual contributor. Under no circumstances will this company ever discipline a poorly performing employee. Once you have the job, just set your work mode to "coast" and you'll be set for the rest of your career. Unfortunately, if you're in a management role, you're probably going to have to deal with a number of these slackers on your team. Those employees certainly don't represent everyone at Sikorsky, but there's plenty of them and they know that they're untouchable. For this reason, it can be maddeningly frustrating to be a manager at Sikorsky.
