Pros

Great satisfaction with the mission supporting a variety of US Government customers. High potential employees receive good training opportunities and advancement in a career is possible.

Cons

Lots of stress and hours caused by unrealistic customer and managerial expectations. Pay is near the bottom of the market and benefits are being reduced.

Pros

There were lots of promises before I started. Great pay, flexibility and team works. Lots of training and good culture. - Boy did they fail.

Cons

Systems do not work properly. The induction programme is never run properly and training for the role was never provided. I was in essence set up to fail and be blamed. They had signed a contract to claim a milestone and then threw it at the new guy with no support and wondered why it failed.

Pros

Lots of diversified work across the company. A lot of opportunities within leadership programs for extra training and career development.

Cons

Some business areas are disconnected from the central company. Communication may lack to some employees that have restrictions on their email access due to where they work.

Pros

The company was very forward with diversity and ethics training. They were also very, very safety conscious. The atmosphere was mostly easy going and laid back, until it was not.

Cons

Lower level management was incompetent. Diversity and ethics was more important than work quality, at least in the software departments. Reviews were a joke.

Pros

Larger-than-life products and services; dominant market share; company size allows for opportunities to move (from job to job, or even re-locate) and grow; lots of training and career development tools; high-value stocks (and they keep going up!), excellent 401K plan with up to 4% company match and Voya tools; depending on the location you may have every other Friday off (or even every Friday off!), depending on the job telecommuting is also allowed; healthcare plan and other benefits (education assistance, proactive health tools/programs, fitness center, relocation packages, community outreach/volunteering opportunities) are very competitive; inspiring mission and vision related to innovation, customer satisfaction, high-end technology, science, engineering, space exploration, aeronautics, projects to solve world problems such as renewable energy and water purification, crime investigation, national security and defense; main customers are DOD and allies; excellent company values (Do What's Right, Respect Others, Perform With Excellence) are genuinely followed, reputation is unparalleled; executive leadership is very communicative, efficient, respected and respectful, worth following and learning from; company is expanding sales to the commercial market/slowly becoming less dependent on military sales; job security is high (unless your performance is terrible for several years).

Cons

Salaries could be better; education assistance used to be better; aging workforce/first line leadership tends to resist change and millennial culture; it is hard to get promoted on the same role/easiest way to move up is to move around; no performance-based bonuses unless you're at the Director level; and no windows in many of the buildings...
