Pros

They have great benefits regarding vacation, medical, insurance, tuition reimbursement, available training, etc; culture is very diverse and upbeat; seems to always be a new challenge and way to grow

Cons

You may lose your individuality and creativity at this company. Masters and Doctorate not necessarily appreciated. Good Ol Boy System still in play more than the individual(s) that made the true difference.

Great Company

Pros

Work-life balance is great, ability to work remotely is a plus, training opportunities year round. Meaningful projects and intelligent and professional team members.

Cons

Although necessary for the type of work, security can be difficult to deal with at times. But that could be said for all companies that work on high profile projects.

Pros

Competitive salary, great benefits, flex hours, great work location

Cons

The workload was heavy and the work days were long. There was no formal training so I was forced to learn on the job. My manager was always on travel and was difficult to reach. Coworkers were dog eat dog and difficult to work with.

Constant Change

Pros

Work with a lot of great people. Have flexible schedules and some ability to work remote although they are currently ending all that. Ability to learn a lot if you take advantage of the classes offered online and many of the other training tools.

Cons

Reorgs are constantly going on- just about every year for the 6 years I have been there so far- must be very adaptable to change and new bosses. Every year they are taking away more and more of the benefits and employee activities- not really much left. Very very difficult to get promoted there even if you get excellent reviews every year you still won't get promoted for years - it's a slow process and the managers try to avoid promoting at all costs.

Pros

Company has great benefits. My supervisor was very supportive with assisting me with my customer. I worked for Lock heed Martin as a contractor so I went through alot of corporate training which was very imformative and beneficial. They have a great corporate culture and promote from within. Most of the top executives have been long term employees.

Cons

Being in a contract position my position was always in jeopardy of being eliminated which happened in my case. They have an inhouse referral program, however most project managers do not crosstalk well and are not willing to hire employees from other projects.

Pros

Good company to work for, to a point. Challenging work and training has been good.

Cons

This is a tough one, but what I have noticed when it comes to lay offs is that favoritism plays a big role in who gets laid off and who doesn't. I noticed in one instance that someone completed all work assigned to them and never complained when asked to stand in for managers or attend meetings. But, there is that one guy that does absolutely nothing 95% of the time and works on their home on company hours, but he is the one that doesn't get laid off, while the guy that tries hard and never turns down nothing gets the ax. I guess this is what happens when he is good friends with the lead.

Pros

Exciting products and innovations. Very focused on ethics and diversity. Large company with many resources for help if needed in any area as well as an extensive amount of in house training available.

Cons

Very Political, very much process orientated when sometimes it doesn't pass the common sense test. Removed pension benefits and it can be difficult to get promoted.

Pros

This company provides wonderful benefits; flexible hours, insurance, etc. The work environment is currently positive, and the jobs are very stable. The culture is military-ish, and deadlines are set to be attainable.

Cons

After completing multiple trainings and a Master’s degree, this company was un willing to provide more work or more opportunities, had to relocate to achieve that. This company has too many levels of management, which causes a lot of finger pointing.
