You can quit your job! Best thing.

Cons

If you’re a casual worker you have no rights. Plain and simple. Which means management can treat you however they like. They can call you five minutes before they want you to start and cancel, they can call and say “can you come in in 10 mins?” And if you’re busy or sick you are immediately unreliable. I was extremely sick a few times and that was seen as not good enough. They treat you like garbage there. They ignored me for months on end until I finally quit that hellhole. Oh! And also. Don’t take this job if you’re not a fan of creepy old men calling you sweetheart and wanting you to measure their extremely large stomachs.

Pros

Amazing Staff Discount. Drama Free Workplace (at least at my store). Generally Nice Customers. Opportunities to work at various stores if needed. Decent Training. Friendly staff and managers who try their best to be fair given circumstances.

Cons

Cuts to hours following Covid. Strict budgets for wages mean that stores are often understaffed and do not have lunch covers nor time to get much stock done. Sometimes questionable decisions are made by head office that don't reflect what it's like actually working in the store day to day.
