Pros

Get really good at cold calling...fast. Opportunity to progress to a manager within a year is nice.

Cons

Low pay, LONG hours, required to be on a zoom call (with camera on) for 9 hours a day during work from home. Homegrown CRM System is archaic and time consuming to log activities. Mandatory requirement to get "X" amount of prospects every single day including Sunday's. Having to be on a zoom call for 9 hours a day shows a complete lack of trust from leadership. For sure stuck in their ways.

Pros

You’ll get to meet some lovely people, and the media monitoring tool is unique.

Cons

The biggest issue is the lack of transparency even from the interview process. They withhold any salary information from you until your final interview, then you find out the disappointing news. The base salary is not far from the minimum wage, the pay is inclusive of super. I wasn’t aware of anyone hitting their OTE for a long time. You’re alluded to flexibility, Benefits, and a fun culture In the interview process as well as fast career progression. Unfortunately the flexibility and benefits are laughable (there’s not even coffee in the kitchen), and fast career progression means you’ll probably work for a manager with zero management experience. You will be expected to come into the office five days per week, they are not flexible on this. A colleague was asked to even come into the office when they were feeling unwell, we all heard this play out and this was during a global pandemic. The management are promoted based on tenure, not management skills as they should be. What this means is that your lead in the wrong direction most times and micromanaged like no other. They hardly give you any direction. You will be micromanaged. You will have someone on every single one of your calls, and someone to proof read all of your emails. You may feel suffocated if this is not what you are used to. The targets are interesting… There’s so many of them, and you most likely won’t hit any of them for a long time. What this means is that you will be earning a very little for your ramp period, and in your slower months. Not far from minimum wage. The culture is “unique”, not sure if that’s good in this case. The shiny smiles in your first three days disappear very quickly. If you’re not a part of the “boys club” You may as well leave within your first two months. If your preference isn’t to be apart of the boys club, you will be made to feel ostracised or forced to fit in. The most toxic working environment I have ever been apart of. I’ve seen people thrown under the bus, and glad to be out of there.
