Pros

Company values, on-job training, flat organizational hierarchy. The job overall is very intense, and gives the candidate an opportunity to build B2B sales skills and experiences very quickly.

Cons

Compensation is on the lower end of the spectrum within the industry. Career development can be limited, and extremely competitive.

Pros

The culture is great- you will be friends with your coworkers. All time put into the job is justly rewarded and the compensation is excellent. Career growth is rapid and makes you feel like you have total ownership of your day to day and year to year. The company itself is in the top of the industry and has a clear direction.

Cons

The job requires a lot of time and "9-5" doesn't exist. It's not a bad thing (fridges are stocked and people are a lot of fun) but be prepared to commit the time. The day to day also requires a highly out going personality, both to do the actual job and also to hang with the coworkers. Also, if you have a sucky manager, your first few months can be really really hard.

Pros

No other company puts so much belief in young people. Having been with Meltwater for nearly 6 years, I've had the opportunity to work in 3 different cities on the east coast and manage some of our most talented new hires. The job at any level of the management program is never "easy" - in fact, it can get hectic at some times. However, it is the people you work with and the office culture that make it all worth it. It's said that if you find a job you love you never have to work a day in your life and I feel as though my career with Meltwater has never been a "job" but more an adventure.

Cons

As with many sales jobs, there are highs and lows. People who cannot separate emotions from their work might find it tough to deal with certain set backs.
