Pros

- Friendly Environment - Good work - My current manager is absolutely amazing at managing things and helping the team out when needed.

Cons

- Salary compensation/increments have decreased. Some of them even getting as low as 5-7%!! But, the work pressure hasn't. We still have to come on weekends to work without any extra pay/comp off. - Ram down in a number of projects has left a large number of resources on bench. Plus they have now automated the process of project allocation which is bad! - Onsite opportunities is only for a few "favorite" people. - Some of the managers have no respect for their resources.

Dear colleague, Thanks for your post. Appreciate it. I must add my view on three points you mention: A) Bench: this is currently at about 200 people, constantly cycling, which is our target. In fact most of the last few months were a time of resource squeeze when our bench fell well BELOW our target due to rapid growth. B) Our automation of resourcing is to avoid favouritism and people being tied to certain managers permanently. Why don’t you like it? C) I don’t know where you got the impression we are letting go of people to save money. On the contrary, we HIRED more people in Q1 2018 than in any other quarter of our existence! We are hungrily scanning all job markets for people. We occasionally let someone go but this is far less than even half a percent of our workforce each year. Don’t believe every rumour you hear. I’m glad you like the work environment. The recent increments were low due to industry trends but the average in India was still well in the double digits and among the highest in the industry, plus the situation is only easing in this regard. Best regards, Manas

Pros

Around 5 years ago, I started working with Nagarro as a fresher. After spending these delightful 5 years, I feel completely transformed. I feel like I have found the machine that an Indian politician once mentioned of making 'Aloo dalo, sona niklega (if fed potato, will give gold in return)' and name of that machine is Nagarro. I feel connected to Nagarro and there is nothing wrong with me being sensing this attachment. I believe at the end, we all are human beings (not just colleagues), working together for an organization’s betterment. While working, we often tend to get so busy, that we are not left with time to acknowledge the goodness of our people and our organization. Today, I want to take this time out to thank Nagarro and my fellow people. Nagarro has given me everything that I need to live happily. • It gives me flexibility of my working hours at office, so that my profession can best suit my lifestyle. • It gave me huge amounts of work to test my endurance, but then, it gave me down time to relax and recharge myself. • It gave me right kind of guidance without any delay, whenever I felt in need (Cheers to the wonderful management). • It allows me rest-time without any formalities/permissions (Wellness room). • It gave me a hand (that literally feels like a mother’s hand) to rub my head/shoulders, whenever I felt achy and stiff (EnLivn). • Above all, it has given me this great bunch of human beings to work with. Then what’s wrong with giving my best efforts for Nagarro when these people are with me? What’s wrong with doing more than what is expected from me sometimes? I could not receive everything from Nagarro without acknowledging. I believe that this is the right time to cherish Nagarro’s contribution in making me what I am today. Thank you so much Nagarro, you make my world a beautiful place. And you can count on me whenever you need me.

Cons

I choose to ignore itsy-bitsy thorns and rather focus on beautiful roses that nagarro blossoms :)

Pros

Great Work life balance.... very flexible WFH policy Better tax saving benefits. Best people with 0-3 years of industry experience. Good company to become a PM

Cons

Negligible growth for PMs and above, specially if you are coming from outside. Senior leadership is driven solely by CEO. A lot of speaking, low execution on the ground. Pathetic quarterly review system. Your titles doesnt justify the role you play. (PMs, DMs)

Dear ex-colleague, Thanks for your fair review and advice. I think some of the organizational points you make are true. They may also be part of our deliberate design - lack of hierarchy, trying to create new processes instead of following industry practices, deprecation of the importance of titles at a senior level, and so on. I do think there is some merit in your comment that "senior leadership is driven solely by the CEO" but I would qualify it a little. First, I think it is true that I influence organizational design disproportionately. In fact, I see that as my main role in a fast-evolving company, rather than as a CEO in a classical sense. To balance that out, and on the other hand, I am hardly involved at all in how our global business units, sales geographies (which is a dozen countries), COEs etc. actually take major decisions from day to day. The GBU heads and the heads of the geos and the heads of our Shared Services are all very senior people who don't "report" to anyone in the conventional sense. They all do their own thing. At Nagarro, we believe the company merely provides a framework for talented, capable people to collaborate directly to achieve great results. We are continuously trying to improve this framework and design. It is not an easy effort and we always have a lot more to do in this direction. Thanks again. Best regards, Manas
