Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is great to see that you are enjoying the work environment, the culture, and the opportunities that Nagarro offers. I can say, these are only going to get better over the next few years. I would like to respond to your comments on biases for old employees and there being no criteria for salary hikes. I think as an organization, in the past, while we have been fair, we may not have always been transparent. We were (and are) growing at a very high rate and so our HR process frameworks were catching up. This has been an initiative for us (and will continue to be) that we need to get absolutely transparent about our policies and processes. And this is already happening. The criteria for salary hikes is now pretty objective - and will become even more so. If you feel that this is not the case, I encourage you to reach out to HR to clarify any doubts. About there being a bias for old employees, there is perhaps no way to prove that there is none, except mentioning there is not. Most of our leadership positions are held by people who are new. The sheer number of projects that we have today necessitates that newer people take responsibilities at all levels. I would like to assure you that we want to be a highly transparent organization. Whenever you see that this is not the case, I invite you to talk to me or anyone else in the senior management team and we can then work on it. Once again, thanks for taking the time to provide a review.

Pros

Top management has a clear vision for the company, growing rapidly, wholesome fresher training program, good mix of technologies, cab facility, good year on year salary raise, a sense of belonging in employees is very palpable, lesser people on 'bench' than larger IT companies

Cons

Bad CTC structure and absurd bonus policy, average infrastructure but it is improving, due to exponential growth many people have risen to middle management positions not due to their competency but for the lack of other options, hiring standards going down to match the rising requirements, not too many perks

Let me thank you for taking the time to provide such pointed feedback. It gives us a lot of insight into the perception that you and others have in the company and gives us a chance to correct it. First of all, let me say that our biggest fear is to become "just another mid-sized Indian IT company". It is the thing that keeps most of the senior management awake at night and finding out ways to not let that happen is a key goal for all of us. The risk is real - as you said, we are growing at tremendous pace. And of course, the hiring standards can potentially get impacted due to this. This is something we are working on furiously to adapt to. You are probably already seeing attempts at much more rigorous treatment for defining what is competency (through KRA driven appraisal systems). The same criteria approach is now being applied for hiring as well. This will get fine tuned through the rest of this year to ensure that we maintain the title of "The Brightest Minds". Of course, the quality of our people is one of the key things that set us apart from any other Indian IT company. The other is our culture. We also want to make sure that we retain the most important aspects of our culture as we grow. And this is also a challenge due to how many new people we hire each month now. But rest assured that these are things which are top of our mind and we are working on them. A couple of other things - I would like to hear more specific feedback about infrastructure (either here on Glassdoor if that is what you prefer - or in person at Nagarro which is what I prefer). If you are willing to meet, then HR can connect you with me. The other thing is the CTC/bonus policy. I would like to report that we have phased this out. You should see the changes at your next salary review. Thank you again for leaving such a constructive review. I encourage you to reach out to me or anyone else in senior management anytime you want to discuss something or provide feedback - we would love to hear from you.

It is very unfortunate that you had to quit Nagarro because of the negative perception and experience you had here. It is too late now to convince you to stay, however, I do want to take the time to respond to your review. I, of course, agree with the pros that you have mentioned - we have those and many more; but let me focus more on the cons that you experienced during your stay. Your distress about the CTC structure is understandable - you are not the only one who has provided feedback about it. We have taken the feedback and redesigned the CTC structure to be in line with industry best practices. The new CTC structure rolls out immediately for all new offers starting next week and for all existing employees in stepped manner over the next few months. Other than that though, some of the other 'cons' you mentioned are not necessarily true. For instance, no big clients and low quality projects - our clients range from some of the worlds largest companies (Fortune 500), to some of the world's most innovative, who are leaders in their domains. The projects we do are some of the most challenging ones available (airline ticket pricing systems, aircraft engine parts manufacturing software, music streaming services, airport ground logistics, public health portals, emergency planning software used by the biggest oil companies, complex lighting design and control solutions, r&d for world leading security systems, and the list could go on and on). It is our failure that during the short time that you spent with us, we were not able to make you aware of what we do, thus leaving you with an impression that we have no big accounts or only work on trivial projects. With regards to 'lack of infrastructure', I am not sure what you mean. For a company our size, we have a very decent infrastructure both in terms of the work environment and in terms of the facilities available to the employees. I would love to get specific feedback on where you think we can improve. Our appraisal system is meant to be very transparent. With recent changes, we have also made it much more objective than it was earlier. The whole premise of the system is that you should be able to examine and, if needed, challenge the feedback received through it multiple times a year instead of just at the end of the year. But it seems that, at least in this case, it has not come across as transparent and I wish that we could meet so that I could hear what the shortcoming was and address it in the future. Finally, about your comment about an internal communication: I find it worrisome that we are sending such communication. We don't need it. This is the action of one individual and not reflective of the approach that we take as a company. At the same time, I would like to know more about this and I request you to take the time to get in touch with me on this (just reach out to anyone in HR). BTW, we do not have a Director of Engineering designation in the company. At the end, I do want to thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Feedback always makes us better. It would be great if you can reach out for the points mentioned above.
