No more a healthy environment to work

Pros

Flexible timings - overall company polices are very flexible and the senior management is very supportive of the culture. Gives elbow space to its employees to balance and manage work and their personal lives well. Senior management (especially the CEO) has a great vision for his company, is very futuristic and sets an example for benefits of communication and collaborative working. Women friendly – yes because of daycare and other facilities.

Cons

Flexible timings - overall company polices are very flexible but it all comes to the kind of manager that you have and NOT dependent on feasibility of managing work. The favorites of manager come at 12 or 2 pm in the afternoon and leave at will. No matter CEO has a great vision except for some good in senior mgmt rest everyone is just enjoying time in office. The current state of nagarro senior employees is a mix of highly skilled people (meritorious) and others who were just promoted because of connections/contacts (employees have taken good advantage of CEO since he promotes communication). heard someone saying in the office 'directors in nagarro are more in number than developers'. found at a stone's s throw. hardly few deserving others mere coordinators of talent pool. they are like resource managers. never get into real work. resource managers are much better. Scrum meetings daily only for normal sincere resources. the favorite of the boss gets an easy escape. no questions asked. Morn meetings set the work plan for the day and are good but when the favorite is never questioned for not attending, you feel its wrong. if a normal resource goes for meetings, do tell your manager that you are going to a meeting room else you are accused of 'Not- being available'. Your messenger and phone might be working. no difference. The favorite may go anywhere anytime. Boss says ‘he must be busy’. senior mgmt rolled out JIRA time tracking. no basis. do not know about others but directors dont fill. recently, they must have received communication that they also must start entering their time. our manager was tensed and said i will also need to enter my effort in some of your tasks. but that is acceptable. if your work is getting appreciated, boss will not let you work. how? - morning meeting about day tasks (2) - afternoon meeting to discuss again (no contribution from boss in that meeting abspolutely none) – you waste your time. - evening again discuss (same tasks, same status, same work - no additional directions or value add) – you waste your time again. - night concall with the real decision makers (internal only, not clients) – time well spent, good feedback, you know what needs to be refined. But you need to invest your night to think and work on it because yoru boss will not let you work. Show me. Show me. Once shown, zero inputs. The same morning noon night recording plays over and over again. Boss needs to show on concall that you did not do it at all without boss supervision. Concall dedcision makers frustrated with boss participation. Cant say anything. end of day - add time to JIRA. not an issue at all. Much required for analysis too. total work of the day is only what you did title of work repeat repeat repeat. the boss woruld not allow you to work. you are not allowed to think. no elbow space. When you ask for better work, boss advises to switch company because boss is insecure of your caliber. No one to escalate. HR believes in words from big titles only.

Pros

* Growing fast both in terms of real estate as well as clients. * Conducive work environment and adequate recreational facilities. * Ample opportunities for technology based leanings.

Cons

* Management listens and believes older employers , new employees always have a lower hand. * If RM team cannot fit you regardless of your skills and experience it would be counted as your fault and you should start packing your bags. * Employee rating and feedback system is not transparent. * The concept of mentoring is simply not there.

Thank you for your feedback. Every once in a while we get this feedback about a bias towards older employees. I don't understand it. What is an "older" employee? Someone who has been with us more than 10 years? more than 5 years? more than 2 years? Some of our most senior folks are less than an year in the company. A large number of people have joined us only in the last 18 months. We couldn't have a systematic bias for against newer employees even if we wanted to - it would hamper us from scaling. Also, it is most certainly Nagarro's responsibility to fit you once we have hired you. No one will ask you to pack your bags for those reasons. I look at every case where we are planning to let go of an individual and ensure that it is not because of Nagarro's inability to provide them work. We are certainly always looking to improve the on-boarding process and experience. If you have any experiences or suggestions that can help us do so, I would really like to hear them. So, do reach out to me. We are committed to making Nagarro one of the best places to work for everyone.

Pros

The New York office location is good....that's about it

Cons

From the start I knew that this company would be extremely unorganized. I was given a verbal offer and asked for a few days to think it over and upon returning to give my acceptance of the offer, they told me that they kept interviewing people and will let me know if they're going to give me an offer. This was really unprofessional given they had already given me a verbal offer. There also seemed to be significant disconnect between the recruiter that hired me and the hiring manager. After starting in the position, there was a significant lack of training processes. The management was very rude and disorganized. i spent several days crying in the background from the way I was being spoken to and treated and did not even feel comfortable seeking support from anyone. They constantly changed start dates with very little warning and expected me to give out verbal offers even though it was very possible these candidates would never be onboarded. It went against my personal morals to be leading on these candidates and making them think that they have a job when they dont. They would constantly change the headcount numbers and people were only chosen to be onboarded based off of who cleared their background check first which was unfair. I spoke up against what they were doing and they didn't seem to like that so they fired me after only working there for 2 months. Not to mention they hired another recruiter, had me train her up, and then let me go after she was trained. DO NOT WORK HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!
