Pros

lots of available work. lots of different people. Surplus of documentation for half of the work.

Cons

Pressure for junior employees to take on high-risk tasks and make promises about time. A severe lack of documentation for half of the work, hard to get info. Discussing and learning solutions for new specs was generally wrong, better to accumulate massive technical debt. Coworkers took minor errors or code changes personally. Direct management often often looked for problems (or scapegoats), interpreted questions and current work as arguments. Failure to respond to communication, often blamed the developer for being blocked on explicitly requested code reviews. Not much info from management on what other opportunities might be available.
