Pros

free soda, nice work space, cafe on site, some friendly people

Cons

pathetic HR, finance support; inconsistent and discouraging communication from management; constant stream of high-anxiety work with no respite; employees are thought of as cogs to help Paul Ricci make money; constant acquisition of new companies leaves things in turmoil; the opportunity for career growth and advancement is very limited due to how management is structured (i.e. the only way for a "regular" employee to get a meaningful promotion is for someone above you to leave or die); salaries are lower than at comparable companies;

Pros

Everything I look for in a company: financially stable; interesting technical products; appropriate compensation; smart coworkers who are fun to work with; and as a bonus it's a quick commute.

Cons

Current splits into divisions means people are often competing with each other for the same resources, but in an unhealthy way -- it does not foster the spirit cooperation and can lead to distrust. I expect further divisional realignment will fix things up. Also, the hiring process is painful -- it takes weeks to get an offer out to someone because of the approval process.

Pros

The company has a strong culture. The work was somewhat interesting but simple. The people in general were nice and helpful. It was very well organized in our office, with clear goals for advancement and plenty of interaction with managers to determine the best way to work.

Cons

Working with phones all day was awful. Hours were long, it is worrying when one of the selling points of the company was that they buy dinner when you stay late, which happens quite often. There was a huge push on number of hours worked. After the aquisition, things are constantly being cut.
