Pros

NONE unless you like sitting in front of a computer for 12 hours trying to get in 8 hours just to make less than minimum wage

Cons

Where do I begin? Pay is horrible. When you are working full time and you have to get food stamps it is considered volunteer work!! There "new and exciting" pay grid is ridiculous. What company has a grid to figure out your pay from week to week? What company penalizes you financially if you make an error? The list goes on and on. I would not advise anyone to work for this company. Nuance knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT TRANSCRIPTION!! They are a SOFTWARE COMPANY and they are deceiving all these hospitals about how great their software is and how much money they can save.and outright LYING to the transcriptionists. Because of this company, I am taking early retirement just to out of this hell hole!! At least when I retire I will have money to pay my rent and maybe even get a part time job that does not financially penalize you for making an error!!!.

Pros

Great supervisor. Weekends off.

Cons

The only time they recognize you is when they are scolding you for not meeting their ridiculous standards. They keep upping the ante. I feel like a Chinese factory worker. You do great on an audits which means your pay is at a good scale and them BAM, ridiculous points taken off for one mistake that changes nothing of the integrity of the report. We are trained professionals and get paid less than if we worked at McDonald's.

Pros

Working from home, no distractions.

Cons

I was told working certain days and times would mean more money, but that was not the case. I am stuck with horrible days. I don't mind the hours, but the days are a big problem. I even tried to change them but they would not budge. It is also hard to get a day off. They are quick to send you an email on how bad your performance is but yet can't find a way to help you.
