Pros

I liked being able to work early mornings until early afternoon so I had more free time. Working from home was great.

Cons

Nuance bought out the company I was working for previously, a company that was GREAT. The buyout changed a lot of things. First, the pay scale was adjusted which resulted in lower cpl rate. The benefits were adjusted. I believe change is a good thing, but constantly changing the operations were nerve-wrecking. Then came the Fiesa ordeal which is more when the job started turning into a sweat shop with the forever dangling carrot above your head. Micromanagement was also a huge thing. I had been in transcription for 29 years and truly enjoyed the profession. So ultimately it took this company and their practices to make me leave this professional career. My manager was great, and I knew she had her hands tied and felt bad for us in the "slave pool." I would love to get back into transcription for a decent company, but would never, ever consider going back to this company as long as I live.

Pros

There is nothing positive about this company, although you do get to sit in front of your computer for 12+ hours a day in the comfort of your own home in hopes that you will make 8 hours of minimum wage pay.

Cons

Unprofessional management. Terrible pay. Low work volume due to work being sent out of the country.

Pros

Work at home, no boss breathing down your neck

Cons

Never know if I will have a full shift of work. I am now up to 6 accounts in my pool and I still run out. Every TLS has their own interpretation of policy. Emails to CSM go unanswered, even after multiple attempts. This is my full time job and it has consistently let me down with lack of work and pay. Pathetic PTO.
