Pros
I am a techie and Optym recruits persons who are technically very strong. Thus, it is a good meeting of the minds for me. Also the projects we undertake and products we build require us to be technically very strong. Thus, it keeps us on our toe which I love. I haven't been bored at Optym for a day as there is always something new to learn and grow professionally. Optym is a very client focused company. We bend our backward to keep our clients happy. I hope that the company maintains this culture as the company continues to grow. We are not a bureaucratic company. We take decisions quickly. Any person can reach out to anyone without any administrative hierarchy. Under the leadership of the new CEO, the company is heading in the right direction. We are focusing of sales and commercialization and developing talent on this front. We are developing the right culture and employees are at the center of this. Employees are encouraged to take greater ownership and be a leader in whatever responsibility they have.
Cons
The company's location is in Gainesville, Florida where there is not much to do for young persons. I am glad that the company will soon be moving its headquarters to Dallas, Texas.
